Creative people Lying Easier

In matters of money, creative people are more likely to cheat than those who are less imaginative.

A study recently done that creative types are more skilled in expressing logical reason for the lack of an ethical act.

In that study, the researchers measured the intelligence and creativity of 97 students from several local universities in begian southeastern United States (U.S.). Respondents were asked to complete a series of psychological tests. Then conducted five experiments to determine whether creative people are more likely to cheat, when faced with a situation that allows them to make a logical reason to lie.

One of the experiments conducted in this study was that, look at pictures that are made from a collection point on the two sides of the diagonal lines, and have to find which side has more points. Even if it tried to 100 times, almost impossible to know which side has more points.

A researcher, Francesca Gino of Harvard University said, "Creativity is a bigger help individuals solve various kinds of difficult tasks, but the bang-bang of creativity could cause an individual to choose an unethical manner when seeking to resolve a problem or task."

The researchers noted that they created a situation in which respondents are tempted by the money and commit fraud. Furthermore, in-depth research is needed on this issue.
