2600 Year-Old Human Brain Found In Fresh Condition
British archaeologist, recently discovered that the human brain is very well preserved. The brain is already more than 2,600 years old and a great brain is still in fresh condition.
Researchers discovered the brain inside the skull that was truncated and estimated age was 2684 years old. The findings of the brain is the oldest in Europe or Asia. Because the condition is still fresh, the brain is in fact considered to be the world's best preserved brain.
These findings are especially surprising because although placed in cooling facilities in the morgue, the brain tends to melt quickly. The brain has a consistency like the idea and none of the usual distinctive smell wafted from the corpse.
Although it is difficult to ascertain the cause of death after all these years, but the damage to the neck bone, leading researchers to believe that the owner died of brain hanged and then beheaded.
Interestingly, the way the body works is dead against the preservation of the brain. The separation of the head of the whole body will open up opportunities for direct infection by bacteria.
But because the brain has undergone a preservation in an oxygen-free watering hole, either deliberately or accidentally placed drop, causing the brain to remain in fresh condition.
Other body parts in the same environment may not be so well maintained, but due to the unique nature of the brain, keeping it fresh.
Unfortunately, despite the appearance of the brain to keep it fresh, the cells and tissues has been long dead.
The brain is thought to belong to a man aged around 30 years old. His brain and his skull was found in Heslington, Yorkshire, a suburban village in northeastern England.
