NASA scientists discover a supernova is 80 billion light years away

Scientists managed to find something that is rare in the universe using the Hubble telescope. The finding is a supernova of the galaxy NGC 5806 which is 80 million light years from Earth. The shortages were causing a supernova observations valuable data. But why rare supernova?

Supernova explosions are the result of a very large star. Because of the colossal energy release sometimes supernova will appear brighter than the galaxies where the star is located. The result of the explosion can be observed for a week before finally fading.

Why is it so important supernova. There are two reasons why the supernova becomes important. The first is that a supernova shock wave energy release can encourage the birth of new stars. Second, the supernova is a source of heavy elements in the universe. Scientists believe the origin of iron in the earth comes from the supernova that occurred billions of years ago.
