New York, Portrait of a City is a photographic journey through the history of the New York. This book presents the epic story of New York on nearly 600 pages of emotional, atmospheric photographs, coming from the mid-19th century to actually the present day. Supplementing this treasure trove of images are over a hundred quotations and references from relevant books, movies, shows and songs. the citys fluctuating fortunes are all represented, coming from the wild nights on your jazz age and of course the hedonistic disco era, to actually the grim days on your depression and of course the devastation of 9/11 and its aftermath, as its broken-hearted other then unbowed voters picked the items.

Featured during this book are numerous iconic images, sourced from dozens of archives and private collections—many never before published—and the tasks of over 150 celebrated photographers. below may be a collection of a number of images from the instructions.
