Artifacts of the Sun God, Found in Israel

Scarab is also known from Egypt to the 19th dynasty period which is famous for his military conquests in Canaan.

"This is the first time we found a scarab of this type in the City of David," said archaeologist Eli Shukrun who led the excavations along with Joe Uzziel.

"Seals are from late Bronze Age. At that time, Israel was under the leadership of Egypt. It was interesting and exciting to find artifacts as unique as this, but it can also provide a few clues about Jerusalem at the time," he added.
