Samsung delays launch of the Galaxy Tab 2

Samsung's latest tablet, Galaxy Tab 2, which was announced last February had to be postponed time of its release. Samsung disclosed, version 7 inches and 10.1 inches from the Galaxy Tab 2 will begin shipping in the UK in late April.

Previous Samsung said the two new products that will arrive at British stores last month and will be launched globally. But as soon as March ended, the tablet was still not sold.

Reported by Computerworld, the reason for the delay according to a spokesman for Samsung, because Samsung and Google needs some time to work on the latest version of the latest operating system Android, Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS). But that's just the spokesman delivered without elaborating further.


The second tablet it will indeed be based ICS. When launched later, Galaxy Tab 2 (7 inches) is expected to be Samsung's first tablet is the latest version of Android.

Model Galaxy Tab 2 will be available in 3G and WiFi. Glaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has a 7 inch screen with 1024 x 600 pixels and weighs 345 grams, while the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) with a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and weighs 588 grams.

In addition to size and weight, the tablet has a similar hardware specs, including a 1GHz dual-core processor, two cameras, up to 32 GB of internal storage and MicroSD slot for additional storage capacity.
