2012, Google Chrome beat Mozilla Firefox
Google Chrome will overtake touted Mozilla Firefox fame by becoming the second most popular web browsers in 2012.
StatCounter, a web browser tracking firm, claiming that the data showed that Google Chrome will overtake Firefox by the end of this year.
According to statistical data that is displayed StatCounter, Chrome's global market share in September was 23.6 percent while Firefox reached 26.8 percent. Microsoft's Internet Explorer still leads with 41.7 percent.
Statistical data also shows a graph increases Chrome in the past two years. While Firefox has stagnated and seen that its market share continues to erode, Microsoft Internet Explorer are also continuously decreased.
Mozilla has tried to fight back in 2011 with the release of several new versions of his browser. Firefox 4 proved to be very popular. But the problem is, many believe that Mozilla is a web browser that is slow and takes up less memory.
On the other hand, quoted from The Inquirer, October 2, 2011, users see that Chrome is simpler but more quickly evident.
Meanwhile, Microsoft is not able to prevent a decline in Internet Explorer, although it has released the latest version of Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) earlier this year.
Just as with previous versions of Internet Explorer, IE9 failed to attract users to re-use the web browser because of a bad reputation. It is these factors that makes the Chrome users increases every year.
According to StatCounter, Microsoft's dominance of the web browser market is also in jeopardy next year. If Google Chrome managed to become the most popular web browser, this could mark the beginning of Microsoft's web king paralysis, since the turn of the millennium
