The most unique rock carvings in the world, Bamiyan Buddha (Afghanistan)

Bamiyan Buddha statues carved into the cliff about 500 AD, at an altitude of 2,500 meters (8202 feet). They deliberately destroyed by dynamite in 2001 by the Taliban on the orders of leader Mullah Mohammed Omar, the Taliban government after it declared that the statue is "idol", which is forbidden under Sharia law.
