Soup Bowl 2400 Year-Old Found in China

Recently Chinese archaeologists discovered a bowl of soup that an estimated age of 2400 years. Wouw! The discovery of a bronze bowl of soup is claimed as the first in the history of Chinese archeology.



A discovery is quite horrendous happening China. As reported by the AFC (13/12), Chinese archaeologists discovered a historical legacy in the form of a bronze bowl of soup. The findings obtained from the excavations of archaeologists in the ancient city of Xian, home of the famous Terracota soldiers.


A test was conducted to reveal the contents of the bowl. The inside of the bronze bowl has changed color to green due to oxidation. Odorless liquid that is found in a bowl and thought to be wine. Bowl was discovered by accident in a tomb that was unearthed to make a connecting road to the local airport.


"The discovery of bone soup is the first time in Chinese archaeological history," said Liu Daiyun, the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology to the local newspaper local.

"This discovery will play an important role in studying the eating habits and the culture wars in the Warring States era (475-221 BC)."

In the report, the scientists also said that the tomb can be owned either by someone from the landlord class or low-grade military officers.
