Wonders of the Pre-Cambrian Stromatolites (Volcano Satonda)

from birth to 4.6 Gya (Gya = billion years ago), the earth has been amended several times the face & kept cool until today. not a lot of physical bukti2 living things that can still be found in this world who was older than the era of triad or Permian. South Africa and western Australia are archaeological sites that contain batuan2 the age of the oldest on Earth 3.5 - 3Gya but not found there living creatures (fossils) that has that old age.

not many know if stromatolites (layered rocks formed from the merger of the expanse of mineral sediment microbes) are the first organisms on earth (starting at about 3Gya) who breathes oxygen. and then they change the earth's atmosphere so it then becomes convenient for occupancy by a multicellular organism (multicellular) thereafter. this is not much impressed reviewed because it does not appeal to some people, but for me these stromatolites are so special. by touching and watching them carefully, so I like being in the early days of living things began to evolve on Earth billions of years ago. on the other hand, this moment makes me believe that the earth is not formed by chance without planning with a very precise degree of accuracy. order of creation is certainly a spiritual experience for me personally in believing a creation process.

Spoiler for Visual:

since it began its spread in (3Gya), in fact the earth is filled by microbial organisms (stromatolites). they blew out the oxygen so that the atmosphere and oceans are rich in oxygen, consequently when the lives of other organisms (multicellular) more massive, then what happens next them (multi-cell organisms) takes ganggang2 and bacteria that should later be stromatolites makers (such as backfire). then finally at the Devonian / Silurian (300 Mya) Mya = million years ago, stromatolites are no longer found on earth and no man can see and even feel the shape of the first living beings exhale oxygen. up in 1984 in a joint scientific research mission to Indonesia-Dutch Snellius II ship Marin singkapan2 stromatolites found in the Indonesian region (inside the volcano caldera Satonda) are now often called the lake Satonda (maybe this is the language of media / press).
Spoiler for Visual:

although stromatolites in Indonesia is not the original stromatolites 3Gya products, but has the nature and shape similar to the stromatolites 3 Gya. then the question arises, why koq tiba2 appear stromatolites in Satonda?

the answer is certainly due to the lake Satonda be satu2nya place on earth is perfect for these stromatolites to flourish. clear water lakes are chemically very similar to the water / ocean during Precambrian (500 Mya). (In this lake) at about 10-15 feet into, will be found a limit of oxygen and H2S meetings or so-called "chemocline". and this is where the main kitchen building corals are then berlapis2 be stromatolites. stromatolites age Satonda many who call around 2000 - 4000 years. although somewhat still very young, but the fact that the existence of natural stromatolites in the world today it is only in this Satonda lake.

since the last erupted in the early Holocene (probably 10000-12000 years ago) crater formed Satonda so depressed as it is today. This unique lake water tastes salty because it has a different chemical content with other danau2. indeed there is a theory which states that the lake Satonda salty because sea water coming in the form of post-tsunami paroxysmal eruption of Mount Tambora in 1815. but to date there is no strong evidence that could justify the theory. Satonda lake remains an ancient lake as a mirror of the past memory of the early formation of the earth.
Spoiler for Visual:

to that in the month of May next, I plan to visit this lake as a form of love of nature and as a medium of learning the history of the earth. although there are some other places that I will also visit the expedition Moyo-Satonda-Tambora-medang 2012, but for me personally Satonda is the main goal. Tambora was sweetening travel bonuses and the media to feast their eyes with a beautiful landscape pemandangan2 Sumbawa at its peak later. but for me, Satonda was very special.
