World's Oldest Dog Dies at Age 26 Years

The world's oldest dog has died at the age of 26, or the equivalent of 125 years in human life.

Male dog named Pusuke is the result of crossbreeding, and died peacefully on Monday (5/12/2012) afternoon in Sakura, Tochigi district, Japan.

Pusuke recognized as the oldest dog in the world by the Guinness Book of Records in December of 2011 ago.

The owner, Yumiko Shinohara, said that his dog showed a good appetite and invited the streets twice a day as usual. But on Monday morning, he suddenly refused to eat and have problems with breathing.

He later died in the afternoon, just five minutes after Shinohara returned home from a walk.

"I think Pusuke waiting for me to go home, before he died." Housewife said 42-year-old was quoted by MSN India.

Known, Pusuke born in March 1985, and the previous record held by a 28-year-old beagle who died in the United States in 2003 ago.
