The giant kangaroo Extinct because of poaching

SIDNEY - Australia had become home to the giant beasts. However, these animals become extinct since 40 thousand years ago, while the cause remains a mystery.

"Our data shows that the number of giant mammals remained stable prior to the 40 thousand years ago, when stability was suddenly broken. Extinctions occurred soon after humans arrived. So perhaps it is human caused," said Johnson.
